One Ingredient Smoothies Feat. Mangoes
Have you ever tried a one ingredient smoothie? This one is made of mangoes. Mangoes have been said to be the most widely consumed fruit in the world. Mangoes are great for you because they fight cancer, alkalize the body, aid in weight loss, regulate diabetes, help with digestion, and are known to clear your skin.
The antioxidant zeaxanthin, found in mangoes, filters out harmful blue light rays and is thought to play a protective role in eye health and possibly ward off damage from macular degeneration.3
A higher intake of all fruits (3 or more servings per day) has also been shown to decrease risk of and progression of age-related macular degeneration.
There you have it. Mangos are definitely considered a super fruit on my book.
Blend a few ripe mangoes in a (high speed) blender or food processor and you will have yourself one delicious smoothie jam packed with rich nutrients!
